Tim Adams Roastery

Our valued client Total Fitouts Sunshine Coast South enlisted us to provide building certification support for the commercial fit out of the new Tim Adams Roastery, Birtinya, Sunshine Coast.

The Structure:

Tim Adams Roastery and Cafe is a distinctive hospitality venture crafted by Total Fitouts Sunshine Coast South shopfit experts in collaboration with client Tim Adams. Situated in the industrial area of Birtinya on the Sunshine Coast, this commercial hospitality fitout brings together the collaboration of Pedro & Grizz and Tim Adams to create a unique Roastery and cafe experience.

The commercial fit out encompassed a 50m2 food and drink cafe area, complete with bathroom amenities, as well as a 60m2 staff area. The Tim Adams Roastery and cafe was brought to life through the collaboration of commercial interior designers H&G Designs & Studio Shibui and the commercial shopfit team Total Fitouts Sunshine Coast South.

How did Pinnacle Certification assist?

The Pinnacle team worked closely with the construction and design team to ensure a smooth building process and provided consultancy on all council submissions and applications that needed to be implemented as well as providing necessary BCA requirements for each component of the build.

For this project, we assisted the client by:

  • We reviewed documentation to ensure compliance with the Building Code of Australia

  • Inspected the building and construction works

  • Assisted the client to comply with local city council, state and federal building laws

  • Approved building plans for commercial fit outs

  • When substantial completion of the building works was completed, we inspected again to achieve staged occupation

  • Prepared and issued the documents necessary for the Certificate of Occupancy (Development Permits and a schedule of critical procedures)

  • Issued inspection certificates and final building certifications for each of the tenancies

  • Fulfilled legislative requirements for the  Certificates of Occupancy

  • Lodged the Certificates of Occupancy with Council for archiving purposes

The Outcome:

We assisted our client in meeting the Building Code of Australia requirements. We issued building approval to commence the fit out process of the commercial space

Then upon completion of the construction phase, we completed a final inspection and issued a certificate of occupancy. We also lodged the Certificate of Occupancy to Brisbane City Council (as required under the Building Act 1975).

The result is a beautiful retail and commercial space with extensive attention to detail. A beautiful result for all involved and for the community to enjoy.
